Different Types Of God’s Altar

1. Holy Of Holies

This is the place of the Ark of Covenant.

2. Altar Of Incense

This is where incense offering is burnt for God Almighty.

3. Altar Of Show Bread

The priest displays the two rows of bread, a total of twelve loaves of bread, representing he twelve tribes of Israel.

4. Menorah - Altar Of Radiance

On this altar is displayed seven burning candles, called the Menorah.

5. Altar Of Burnt Sacrifice

And the people stood afar off, while Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was. And the Lord said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the people of Israel: ‘You have seen for yourselves that I came down from heaven and talked with you. You shall not make gods of silver to be with me, nor shall you make for yourselves gods of gold. An altar of burnt sacrifice you shall make for me, and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your oxen; in every place where I cause my name to be remembered I will come to you and bless you. And if you make me an altar with stone, you shall not build it with hewn stones; for if you wield your tool upon it you profane it.’ Exodus 20:22-26

This is for sprinkling water, for cleansing and purification.
